Samurai II: Vengeance

A few months ago we have already reported about Samurai II: Vengeance, it is now available in the market and should finally be presented here. Many of you unfortunaly will realize that Samurai II: Vengeance is a Tegra-2-only game and it runs only on a few devices, but with a little tool you can play it also on non-tegra-devices, Google will help you for sure to get it on your smartphone. However, here is my review on a LG Optimus Speed.

First I’ll come to the presentation and graphics. Samurai II: Vengeance is designed in the style of a comic, complete with full drawn comic sites to tell the story. Graphically it impressed me with bright colors and strong outlines, which give an additional sense of being in a comic book where you play the story. For the player this makes a fascinating depth of experience, because you think you really are “in” the game. The presentation is also very bloody and not suitable for children. You Control the Samurai with the controls shown on the left-pad, the buttons right are from the bottom up for rolling, a heavy attack and a mild attack which come out faster but will cause less damage.

The player begins in a kind of arena and goes on by fighting against other Samurais, I will not spoil the story here, it’s definitely worth to play Samurai II: Vengeance and admire especially the great graphics and gameplay. The gameplay is also very good, it runs absolutely smoothly on the LG OS. If you want to buy the game for 3,49 € in the Google Market you should provide enough space and download it over wi-fi, there are 40 Mb, but it doesn’t require additional files, which is very positive.
If you have a capable Tegra handset and like Samurais, you should buy this game, it’s one of the best Android games to date.
