Wiimote controls on Android

Posted by Dennis Zimpel On May - 9 - 2010

In this Video you can see how to play games on your android device with a Nintendo Wii Gamepad.

You have to register your Nintendo Wii Gamepad via bluetooth using an App, after that you need to choose a game and start to play!

There are two apps I know, one which is free to use (named “Wii Controller 0.2 Alpha”) and another one which you have to pay for (named “Wii Controller IME”)

Here’s a video, that shows it in action, check it out:

New physics game from Camel Games: Super Tumble

Posted by Dan Mousavi On May - 4 - 2010

Camel Games delivered the best physics puzzler on Android to date, now they released their new game Super Tumble. In this game, there is a star above a plattform filled with shaped blocks. Your goal is to remove the blocks, so that the star lands on the plattform. You can only tap one every few seconds. This is easier said then done, because some blocks shatter on collision, while others have a balloon attached, that keeps them afloat etc.

It’s easier to just show you a video of the demo, so you can see the gameplay for yourself (by the way, this is our first published video, we’ll do a lot more in the future, and besides quick hands-on like now, we will have edited and narrated reviews and of course everything is shot in 720p, to get the full 480×800 resolution on cam):

The full version has 65 Levels and is available for 2,99$ on the market. If you like physics based games, you should definately try it out, it is one of the better ones.

Zeemote releases Android SDK

Posted by Dan Mousavi On April - 27 - 2010

Zeemote is a bluetooth controller for mobile phones, which worked previously only with S60v3 devices and Blackberry.
On older plattforms a separate control unit wasn’t really necessary, but with next generation phones with integrated projectors like the Samsung beam you will need a separate controller to fully enjoy your projected games. There are also a lot of Androids on the Horizon with HDMI out, so this is definately worth integrating.
You can download the SDK here.
Press release is after the break:

Forum is now activated, start discussing away

Posted by Dan Mousavi On April - 26 - 2010

We just activated the Forums, there are still some bugs to squash, but a real beta run never hurts.
If something doesn’t work as it should, or you have some suggestions, just post it in the feedback section.
It should work perfectly on your Android phone (if you haven’t checked us out with your mobile, please do, the site is mainly optimized for your handset) and as soon as we have final functionality, we will start skinning and theming the site.
