We will be at Mobile World Congress 2011

Posted by Dan Mousavi On February - 2 - 2011

If you are a regular reader of this site, you probably realized that in the last month the post count went a little down. There was a reason for that.
I participated in Qualcomm’s AR Dev Challenge, which took a lot of my time. The winners will be announced at MWC and Qualcomm invited me to come.

So the tickets are booked, the room is reserved and on the 14th and 15th of February, I will film as much as possible from the new devices and tech that will be shown off.
I will put a special focus on Sony’s new gaming smartphones and look around for some new apps, that will be shown off there and of course you will hear all about the AR games on Qualcomm’s booth.

So keep an eye out on Androidpimps on the 14th and 15th of February for an exclusive look at the MWC 2011.

If you have any special wishes, then let me know in the comments and if some developers are at MWC and want to meet up, please contact me at

Konami releases Pro Evolution Soccer 2011

Posted by Dan Mousavi On February - 2 - 2011

Football games are one of the most successful games in Germany, so I guess reporting about Konami’s first big foray on the Android Plattform is a must.
Yesterday Konami released PES 2011 on the market for 4,99€ and the initial impressions by people who like these kind of games is very positive, according to them it is the best football game on Android at the moment.
There are still minor problems, e.g. the game doesn’t run full screen on some devices, but that should soon be fixed.

Here are the game features, it is nearly the same game as on iOS without the multiplayer:

Unrivalled realism: Experience incredible gameplay and focus on tactics, goals and winning trophies while competing against the most advanced team and player AI on the market.
Exclusive UEFA Club Competitions: PES 2011 includes many of the best European club teams in the officially licensed UEFA Champions League™ and UEFA Europa League™ modes.
Outstanding Accessibility for Beginners and Experts: The uniquely designed true flowTM control system provides instant access for players of all levels by utilising the accelerometer and AI-supported touch controls. More advanced players are presented with unlimited freedom of play by being able to master classic console-style controls with virtual pad and buttons.
Stunning graphics: Detailed stadiums and pitches provide the perfect visual environment for exciting matches
