20 Top Games for October

The last month was great for Android gamers, one great release followed the next and even the biggest critics had to recognize Android as a force in mobile gaming. The launch of Openfeint brought many great new games with it and the launch of Unity 3 promises great new 3D Games for the future. Since there are so many games we want to show you, we are back up to 20 Titles for this months Top List, 10 free, 10 paid. A visit at Scoreloop – Interview with CEO Marc Gumpinger

Since Scoreloop announced in May that they have a rapid growth on Android with over 300000 new Android Users per week, their software is used in more and more games, that’s why Androidpimps decided to pay them a visit, because we wanted to hear straight from the source, what Scoreloop is exactly and what it does for gamers and developers. CEO Marc Gumpinger sat down with us and was willing to answer all our questions, that’s why we asked him to one part gamer questions and one part technical questions, that will be more interesting for developers, who think about integrating Scoreloop into their projects.

20 Titles for the summer – our top picks for August 2010

It’s summer and while this time of the year is usually not so great for gaming, you can enjoy a mobile games even in the most beautiful weather. Even the freshest water from the most beautiful lake or the cleanest air on top of a mountain can’t cure our steady hunger for new and great games and it’s just beautiful that now we can enjoy both at the same time without the hassle of another device. To make it easier for you to enjoy your holiday and not waste it on boring games, we each picked five free and five paid apps for our Top List of Summer 2010.

Yesterday evening the Nexus One was the first device to get the Froyo upgrade, we shot some Video material from Gameloft’s new game Gangstar before and after the update, so you can compare it’s performance.

We chose one of the new Gameloft titles because they are still missing optimization for the Snapdragon processor and are the only games that performed that badly on Eclair. The game often had lousy fps, even with Froyo you will see the occasional hiccup, but it definately got a lot smoother.
