Androidpimps – all about android games

This week a few interesting games arrived on Android. If you are looking for new games, check out these releases:

Another World
One of my favorite games from the early 90′s and the best commercial game ever produced by a single person. Another world was one of the first action adventures and instantly made it’s Designer Eric Chahi an industry legend. It was also one of the first polygon based games, which gave it unprecended quality in animations and made it one of the first games with full motion videos. The technique he invented to display polygons in 2D is used to this day by programs like Flash. Even 20 years after the original release, this title is still wonderful to play.

Cut the Rope Experiments
Om Nom is back with new levels, gadgets and a mad german scientist. This second part initially has 5 level packs with 125 levels in total

Another 30 days, another 30 games for you to play. These are the best paid games we could find, that were released in May 2011. Since a lot of the paid games started to be available for free as a demo and have additional in app purchases to unlock the real full game, creating this list became much harder, so please let us know in the comments if we missed any recommendable titles.

Sony Ericsson just announced which games they will show off at E3, with Minecraft as their new exclusive Headliner.
There are some more interesting names on the list, but we will have to wait for E3 until we hear and see more about them. Until then, here is a nice video, that shows Minecraft in action on a Xperia Play:

For the last year, Gameloft hasn’t released any of their new games on the Android market, which is why we didn’t cover them.
Now they are back with a pretty good shooter, Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus. The game was released through their website in January and it is 2$ cheaper there, but still, a new release on the official android market is something we wanted for a long time now.
Let’s hope that they will bring all their new games on the market and that they will be priced more fair compared to their own offering, they had some hot releases that we would like to cover.
